FAL Goals, Quarter 2

I'm going to keep my plan pretty much the same as last time.  I'm listing all the unfinished projects I've got.  I've got a boatload.  My first goal is clearing out my orphan blocks.  Which is fab because my future in-laws want shopping bags.  Woo!

So, here's my list, with pics.  My reality is that I probably won't get much more than the baby quilts done, as I'm supposed to prepping for a wedding this quarter!

1.  Must Dash quilt.  (It's sewn, just needs to be basted, quilted, and bound.)  (This is also my April Year of Lovely Finishes goal.)

2.  Star block bag.  (I cut out the pieces last quarter it's just sitting there.)

FAL, update 2

Here are the three items I didn't post earlier.

Here's a close up on the almost invisible zip on my new spider skirt.  Yes, it's Halloween fabric.  Yes, it will be my regular rotation when I lose the weight I've gained back.  No, I can't model it.  My ba-donk-a-donk is currently too large.  Blarg.

I made the superhero EPP pillow into a tooth fairy pillow.  It's going to a child of a friend who will lose teeth in the future.

Finally, the scrap vomit #2.  It's destined to be a housewarming gift for a bestie of mine who is moving to a new place.

First Quarter FAL 2013 Update, part 1

Yes, this is going to come in two parts.  I still have a binding to finish tonight and some pics to upload, so here's part one.

I first blogged my goals for the first quarter FAL here.

My goals were lofty.  I have A LOT  of UFOs.  I suffer from "OOOO, shiny" syndrome.  I like to start stuff that I don't always finish.  Honestly, it was starting to get to me.  So, I posted almost all of them.  33, to be exact.

Here's the status of each and every one of the original list.  I've got a few new ones to add for Quarter Two.

1.  How Far Will You Go Quilt  DONE
I love love love this quilt.

quilted and bound!

2.  Tula Skirt--on hold.  The spider skirt is too tight right now.  I have to lose the 7lbs I put back on stress eating before I commit to the smaller size.  Tula is too loved to cut up and not be able to wear.

3.  Spider Skirt, DONE, coming in part 2. Still have to photograph it.

4.  Malka Quilt  DONE

5.  Rainbow Skillbuilder Block quilt  DONE

Eep. It's been two weeks!

Um.  Not quite sure how that happened.
I've been productive.
Survived parents visiting.  Battling a sinus infection.

I finished my March  A.L.Y.O.F.:

Scrap Vomit #2, pinbasted!

A huge thank you to Lisa from Modern Balabusta.  She's a goddess.  I haven't had the smoothest transition into March.  Spent a lot of time feeling blue and being sick.  She sent me a fabric care package!  I didn't photograph it separately because I immediately started pulling stuff to mix in and play with.  She knows my love of Tula well.
I'm itching to play with this pile now:

PIck #1

I am thinking of a medallion quilt.  Something scrappy and crazy.

I'm also working on a Must Dash quilt (so have wanted to do one for a long time) for a new child of a faculty member.  He doesn't know it's coming, so it's not late.

I'm almost done with my Covert Robin swap item.
I need to finish a pouch for Stash Bash.
I haven't started making (but I have a design chosen) for my I love the 80s swap.

In the next week, I have to hem my Spider skirt.  I have an EPP pillow to finish.  I may have one more baby quilt done before March is up.  Still have a batch of UFOs.  Haven't been keeping up to date on my BOMs.  Trying to wedding plan.  I have a batch of 50 folks' worth of custom crayons to make next week.  Oh, and I'm going to see my mom and do a frenzy of meetings with wedding related peeps next week.  I have ordered his wedding ring and booked all but one bit of the honeymoon.

Dammit.  I want to eat the ears off many a chocolate bunny right now.  Struggling to take back off the 5 lbs I gained back stress eating and eating out with my folks.  Blarg.  Zumba for me tomorrow.

Whew. Now I can share.

So the guest bedroom is clean.

That's a miracle.

Also a miracle, the dining room table is clean save for my sewing machine.
The room is as clean as I can get it.  Given that we might *might* eat one meal there, I'm not stressing about it.  I did discover that I cut through the table cloth with my rotary cutter.

Oh well.

*cough* Isn't that what the runner is for?

I can finally share the one crafty thing I've accomplished in the last week and a half.

I pattern tested for Sara at Sew Sweetness.

Her Petrillo bag.  I cut into some Parisville in my stash for it.
It's pretty.
And new.

I did the zipper!  It came out fabulously!

You can check out all the other fabulous versions here.

Still so many projects to finish.  Blarg.
