Final Quarter FAL 2015

Well, I started with an insane list.  I didn't get as much done as I hoped, due to a massively fleeing sewjo midstream.

A chunk will rollover into 2016.  I had a blast knitting and am going to make an effort to roll that into my regular rotation.  I had another epiphany that I really am not going to do the Socks that Rock patterns I had on my FAL list.  I just don't like them.  They don't seem like fun.  I'm going to use up the yarn on something else in 2016...maybe shawls (my new love) or someone else's sock patterns.  I signed up for yarnyenta's Knit from Stash sock club again.

I set as my December goal quilting and finishing the Cushion Cut quilt.

It is done and has been gifted!

I have a long list coming up for the first quarter of 2016.  I've rediscovered my love of knitting.  I need to sew regularly.  I have some oldies to clear out!  I think one of them may be my Jan goal.

ALYOF Dec goal

I'm going to keep Dec's goal reasonable.  I have to finish up some major projects.  I've got crafty ADD.

I want to quilt and bind this one, my Cushion Cut quilt:

It's already pin basted.  I had planned working on it over Thanksgiving break and didn't get it done.

ALYOF November goal

I have too too many projects that I've stalled out on.  I haven't done anything but a bit of hand sewing since I've been back.  (To be fair, the hand sewing was under the direction of the incredibly fabulous Jen Kingwell...AND I finally understand templates.)

I've been knitting up a storm.  Um..I have three KAL going right now.

So, my goal will be a smallish one. I want to finish the catvent quilt.  I've got the top made.  I have the backing.  I just need to find a chunk of batting the right size.  (That's the bit I forgot to bring to Stash Bash mini....at least the bit of that project.)

ALYOF October finish

I still have a post to write on the mini Stash Bash.

I had a blast, but it wasn't my most productive retreat.  I don't know if I was fighting an ick or just really overloaded with allergies, but my brain was fuzzy.  As a result, I was using the seam ripper as often as I was actually sewing.

I did, however, finish my Oct goal for ALYOF.




I'm am idiot...because it really didn't occur to me that my mini partner actually reads my blog...and she does.

So, I apologize, dear Katie, for kind of blowing the surprise factor.

I still have to finish my own Molly Market tote, but I finished the one I made for Katie.  I used the last of Star Wars stash.  (Which ended up being restocked by my mini Stash Bash partner.)

I wanted a bag that was useful and fun.  I hope I succeeded!

My sew jo has gone AWOL post mini bash.  I blame the announcement of a beloved house guest arriving in a coupe of weeks.  I've abandoned sewing for cleaning.  Just unearthing the guest bed alone has been an endeavor.  I'll probably keep the Nov ALYOF goal small as a result.
