ALYOF Oct Goal complete!

I set my sights on finishing a bag I was making for my mom in October.

It was a Noodlehead sidekick bag.
It even matched my first sidekick, at least on the exterior.
When I brought it with me on my previous visit to my folks, my mom commented that she really liked the bag and wanted one just like it.
I couldn't completely comply, mostly because I had used up all the orange fabric I had on the first version, and it wasn't available any longer at my LQS.  Plus, my mom doesn't really wear orange.
So, I traded out the orange for some Kaffe in blue.

Luckily, I even finished it in time to hand it off as an early Christmas present when I saw my mom and dad last weekend.

Finish A Long, Quarter 4...what rolls over, what got added.

Well, to say that I have project ADHD would probably be an understatement.
I definitely suffer from "ooooo...shiny!" syndrome, also known as "SEW ALL THE QUILTS!" syndrome.  Sadly, there are not enough hours in the day to make all the things.

So, my list got longer.  A bit longer.  *cough* On it are a bunch of destined to be Christmas/holiday presents, as well as several swap items.

Here goes:

On the sewing front:
1.  Hexy MF...at the long armer


2.  Hexy Diamond...I've added a few more hexies.


3.  Heal Quilt  (need to piece the back)


4.  Indian Blanket quilt (waiting on backing)


5.  Emerge quilt (basting this weekend)

9.  Sidekick bag for mom  (it's going to be blue on the inside, not orange)

6.  Scarf for my mom (twill be my first time knitting with steel)


7.  Knitted Dalek (this will either be a #makeadalekmakeafriend swap item or a Christmas present)


8.  Star Wars items



So, um...yeah.  An even 40.  If I finish 15, twill be an accomplishment.

Keeping it simple.

I'm going to see my mom this month.





She asked me for a Sidekick bag for Christmas.  I'm going to try to get it done this month so I can give it to her early in person.  The pocket is purple.  The lining is going to be blue, not orange.

Finish Along Quarter 3...what got done.

Way back when, I posted a list....an extreme list...for the FAL, Quarter 3.  I blogged about it here.

I got a lot done....started more than I should...and have a bunch rolling over.

Here's my progress....

Sewing Projects:

1.  Hexy MF.  It's off at the longarmer.

2.  Marcelle Medallion.   Yup.  Didn't work on it.

3.  Tear Drop quilt...Didn't work on it either.

4.  Hexy Diamonds...added a few more diamonds.

5.  Sidekick, version 2.  Um.. nope.

6.  Meridian 2.  Um.. nope there, too.  It's still in the 80s here.

7.  Tula Sampler.  VICTORY!!! A finish!


8.  Black/White/Color quilt.  DONE!!!


9.  Gypsy Wife...I did some more blocks and then it dropped off my radar.

10.  5 needlebooks.  DONE!!! MAILED OFF.


11.  Journal covers.  DONE!!!


12.  Bitty Broken Lonestar.  Um..no progress.

13.  L's quilt.  DONE and GIFTED!  And...I apparently never blogged the finish.
