When Julie at The Intrepid Thread posted an invite for folks to get mystery fabric and challenged them to make something with it, I raised my hand high to volunteer!

I have long wanted to make Amanda's Knitting Bag by SometimesCrafter.

So, the time had come.  I added in some pink knetted Cotton and Steel and some black linen.

Here was the pile of lovelies I started with from Julie:




I printed my directions and got to work.  The directions for the bag were really straight forward.

Then I took the scraps and made a sock knitting bag to go inside the bag:




I love it.  It's already full of a couple of projects.  Thanks, Julie, for the change to play with new to me fabrics!

OMG Jan goal

To keep me on track, I'm joining up with OMG to have a monthly goal.

Since  I have to work on the play for much of this month, I'm making my goal one I *have* to get done.

I have to make 8 pageant sashes for the competition part of the play.  The cast got their parts today.  I've got to do some script revisions/additions this weekend.
